[Event]
*like some sort of wisp or ghost, the Alternate Sadame can be spotted in the city.
While they prefer to stay in the safety of the Arboretum unless needed, the nature of the hiding place means they can't establish any permanent method of getting food or water.
Which means they need to wander out into the city to head for a convenience store or something, hoping partially that they'll unblinkingly accept their money.
Or, worse case, be able to steal things effectively enough.
You should help them to not steal.*

I-I am glad I was able to give you. Some peace of mind? It wasn't intended to be peace-giving but I guess some people are more optimistic...
*... you can tell while hugging that they definitely need access to a shower. and to wash those clothes. just kinda dusty all over.*
no subject
Cas sniffs a bit. ... gently sets you down.
"There's clothes in my closet that you can grab too. May be a bit baggy, but better than uh..." He thinks better of finishing that sentence and coughs.
"Lemme go and distract Emmy. Uh. Thanks, for everything you're giving me tonight and hopefully going forward."
no subject
Right, let's... proceed. Just don't count on too much help otherwise, that's all.
I'm pretty sure my Alternate's going to hunt me down soon, anyway.
no subject
Cas stops at that and frowns
"... And do ya think you're... well. Not gonna survive that encounter?"
no subject
I can't see past it, for some reason. *that's... far, far more concerning than anything else they've said so far.*
no subject
Cas sighs.
"And I'm gonna guess that it's... probably 'cause of your nature, but you're stuck, right? There's... nothing to be done about it?"
no subject
Sometimes, being able to only see one type of premonition has it's uses. But in this case... there's nothing that I can tell. I don't even know if I'll not survive.
But that's why I need to. Think. I need to be able to think of what to do. Because I can't rely on my abilities for it, and... Well, consider who our authority figures are.
no subject
Cas nods and grins.
"We'll help!"
What have you done.
no subject
*it's too late.*
no subject
"It's the most concerning thing you've said in a sea of things that'd concern anyone else! And like I said, you're still a person. And you don't deserve to fade away. If anyone can help ya with this, it's me or it's Emmy."
It's hard to tell if this is idealism or he's just very, very stupid.
no subject
I... Appreciate the thought about this. I do.
But you should really be more concerned about yourself, in all of this. I have my worries, my problems. And honestly...
The thought of my counterpart confronting me isn't even the scariest thing that could happen to me.
That's reserved for my sister coming to find me.
no subject
I, uh. That includes you. Do you even remember going to school with me? Our, uh... well, if you don't remember I guess it doesn't matter." He laughs, a little bitter.
"... your sister? I think I met her, but... I guess the merge did a decent number on alot of ya'll."
no subject
I... remember some things. I'm very aware of time. The changes. The effects. So it's not like it never happened.
I do know I wasn't very popular, but freaking out about everything likely had an effect. *well, they sure managed to control that part, now.* But yes, my sister, she...
She's happier right now, but for the wrong reasons. And I guess I don't want to end up having to confront that, quite yet.
no subject
He nods.
"I getcha. Not a comfy place to be." He sighs and considers you, and then nods again.
"Yeah. If... things are too weird now, and you don't think you can accept Emmy and I's help because it'd be too, well... Y'know." He gestures vaguely. "I can understand it and won't force it on ya."
no subject
That would help me more than anything else. This includes the risk of my counterpart confronting me dramatically.
And I'll... try to at least delay your own confrontation until you're ready.
no subject
He opens the door into the apartment and you can hear him bellow into it. The words 'date' and 'kick this off' can be heard before there's a squeal and something fast latches onto Cas and he can be heard laughing as he and the vibrating shape that has full attention on him go in the opposite direction of where you are.
You swear there's a thumbs up somewhere in there, as the door is conspicuously left a little ajar and you can get in there very easily.
no subject
well, not their concern. They slip in quickly and shut the door quietly, taking a moment to just. Appreciate being somewhere not the outdoors. with likely some form of air conditioning. and running water.
... ...*
I really need to stop living outdoors.
*saying that to no one in particular, they go about getting themselves more presentable*
